The Deer Creek Challenge is located approximately 20 miles outside Denver, with a scenic start/finish located at the Johns Manville facility on the corner of West Ute Avenue and West Toller Drive.
Below is the 2011 course map.
33-mile Course
4,200 feet of vertical gain
Don't let the distance fool you - this is a serious ride. It takes you up City View and down High Grade Road. Exceptional control and
safe speeds are a must. Once back to Deer Creek Canyon, it is an easy 6-mile ride back to the finish.
62-mile Course
7,053 feet of vertical gain
Follows the 33-mile course but adds a loop through Evergreen and Kittredge before returning home to the post-ride party.
89-mile Course
10,597 feet of vertical gain
This course mirrors the 100-mile monster except for the second trip up City View. With over 10,000 feet of elevation gain, it dishes up a challenge for any cyclist.
100-mile Course
12,751 feet of vertical gain
This is the big one! This course includes a trip to Shadow Mountain and second trip up City View. There is an 89-mile option that still includes over 10,000 vertical feet of climbing and all the Deer Creek Challenge has to offer, except a second trip up City View!
Remember: Only registered participants completing all 100 miles of the century course will earn the century jersey. We'll be marking bibs at key points along the way.
